Dr. Choi is an outstanding doctor. Not only is he well informed but he is also compassionate, thorough and understanding. I would definitely recommend his care to family and friends. Dr. Choi’s staff is wonderful as well and they seem to understand that the patients experience is just as important as their level of care. It’s very hard to find specialists that are accomplished yet authentic and personable in their approach but you will definitely find that with this doctor. Dr Choi is on the ball and he gets it! I highly recommend this doctor for treatment.

“No one likes going to doctor’s, even worse, no one ever wants to hear bad news. Unfortunately, I was two for two. I did not know Dr. Choi when I went to him with my problem and I was a little nervous as to what my outcome would be. As it turned out I was diagnosed with bladder cancer, but, I was also blessed by finding the gentlest and most caring person in Dr.Choi. He is straight forward with information, results and treatment. He made sure I understood everything about my cancer. His staff is also genuinely caring and I feel I’ve made new friends rather than being just another patient.
Never once was I worried or made to feel uncomfortable during checkups or treatment. I don’t worry because Dr. Choi is in full control of my condition and I enjoy seeing the girls and chatting with them when I have my appointments.

“I am pleased to say a word about my treatment provided by Dr. James Choi, MD, and his fine staff. During the past year I have had several appointments, including two prostate biopsy procedures. I was warmly welcomed and competently treated during my initial visits. On two occasions following biopsy procedures, for some ridiculous medical reason (I have low blood pressure), my recovery was unusually slow and labored and continued for several hours. Apparently this rarely happens with patients. Naturally, this threw the office schedule with other patients into momentary turmoil. But with a good sense of humor and very competent actions, equipment was moved to other rooms and emergency steps were taken by everyone in the office to help with my recovery and to proceed with the normal treatment of other patients. Dr. Choi, Rebecca, Jan, Joan and Cindy all handled matters calmly and professionally. Indeed, though anxious for my safety, they handled everything with good humor. And we all enjoyed a few good laughs. That’s all good medicine in any office!
I am about to begin radiation treatments at HMC Cancer Center. Dr. Choi and his staff have been most helpful in completing arrangements for my further treatment. I am most grateful. And, I am pleased to relate my story so other may learn of my fine experience as a patient.
